2x Backend Engineer
We are looking for an engineer with excellent ideas who writes great code in record time.

The pace of change is rapid. You should be happy to take on new challenges hourly. You are likely to spend a morning writing code to rank neckline similiarity using machine learning techniques, optimizing a bayesian classifier, and designing an API while putting out a fire in memcache. In general, you should surprise yourself by being excellent way outside your comfort zone now and then.

You will own a large area of our product and infrastructure and will need to make important decisions and get things done without much oversight. It is critical that you enjoy working autonomously and reaching solutions rapidly. Our ideal candidate has strong ambition and the potential to mature into an inspiring leader.

Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain all areas of backend infrastructure within our platform
• Profile, instrument and analyse existing and new systems for operational monitoring and performance
• Manage deployment tools and server infrastructure from a code perspective
• Work collaboratively in our brilliant engineering team
• Engage in product development, along with the rest of the organisation

Prerequisites:

• Highly fluent with UNIX
• Solid development skills in any languages, but most preferably Python
• Database skills, SQL and modern K/V stores
• Cloud computing experience, particularly infrastructure-on-demand and highly scaled environments
